Hello....this is my first post but I apprecate all of the information

I have been getting from this wonderful group! Thanks a million!

Anyway, I was looking for some aloe vera gel and couldn't find any in

the store I was in. But they did have some stuff called Solarcaine

Aloe Extra Burn Relief. It says that it is for " fast relief of pain

and itch from sunburn, minor burns, cuts, scrapes and insect bites. " I

have used this a few times when my face is flushed and feeling like

it is on fire. It calms the heat and diminishes the redness, at least

for a while. The active ingrediant is Lidocaine Hydrocloride 0.5%. My

question is.....is this going to cause more harm in the future?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Try to look for Aloe Vera with the first ingredient being Aloe instead of

water. Grocery stores carry it in their

tanning lotion section, pharmacy has some on sale right now. I use it

all over after swimming or

working outside.

It probably depends upon the individual, and the amount of citric

acid. The Aloe Vera gel I use contains citric acid. I've been using

it for over a year and I've found it beneficial. It's 99% aloe vera

and citric acid is the last ingredient on the list.
