Guest guest
Thanks for the thoughtful message regarding balancing an enjoyable lifestyle and avoiding triggers, Marjorie. I also think, based only on my own rosacea and a gut feeling, that there is more to rosacea than a vascular disorder. With the long, hot summer -- since late June, just about every day is 90 or above -- the central portion of my face has begun to burn when I am outside for even short periods of time. I am not flushing more than normal; just expeiencing the tight, burning feeling. This happens after a couple minutes in the sun (with 60 spf and hat) and even in the shade after a few minutes. Once I go inside the burning stops so I know the most practical thing would be to stay inside as much as possible. I've started riding/walking early in the morning but for those situations where I need to be outside for a social occasion, etc. does anyone have any suggestions to lessen the burning? It seems that my face is lacking a proper barrier -- any ideas for strengthening the barrier? Thanks, a
