Becuase Metrogel is a gel, you will have the peeling off of a gel if

you try to apply foundation after the gel has dried.

I can only tell from my own method of applying make-up how to do it.

I use Retin-A micro, which is a gel. I put a pea sized amount on the

specific areas on my face. I then put a dab of foundation right on

top of the dabs of retin-A. A half (gel)/half (foundation) mixture. I

first spread it and then pat it so I don't get streaks. Once I

perfected this technique and learned to work fast, it looks ok. Any

kind of gel topical can be applied this way. Sometimes, I put a

lightweight moisterizer on before I do the whole process. But that

isn't required.

The peeling you are experiencing is probably from the Differin.

If you are having real troubles with the Metrogel, wear it at night

and the Differin in the day. Especially if the Differin is easier to

apply with make-up.
