Guest guest
I understand your frustration with your rosacea. However, I think you are being a little hard on Dr. Nase and the people who feel that his work has helped them. I think Dr Nase has proven that his interest is motivated by his own personal experience (have you seen his photos) with the disease and his desire to help other rosaceans understand their disease better. You said " I don't want to read a book on rosacea since I live with it everyday. " To me this sounds a cynical and defeated. I am sorry you are at this point. I may or may not have rosacea now (only my next two doctors appt will tell). But I have suffered with severe acne most of my adult life. I pursued knowledge in understanding the various causes of adult acne. And like all research, there are new theories and ideas on treatments coming out. Because I kept on reading and looking for answers I learned of treatment options that were not " main stream " initially. I was up on info that even derms were unaware of. I think you should give Dr Nase a break for being proactive in dealing with his situation and trying to help others.

Guest guest
How do you know those photos of Dr. Nase were not touched up? It seems every product I find on the internet is the for sure cure for rosacea. Does he ever join this group in e-mails? Dear LrndC@a.... I understand your frustration with your rosacea. Guest guest
How do you know all photos everywhere aren't retouched? If you have seen these photos yourself and truly believe they may have been altered, the FTC is probably a better organization to contact than this group. To my knowledge, Nase has never claimed to have developed a sure-fire cure for rosacea. His book synthesizes the current body of knowledge about the underlying physiology of this disease, and gives a good outline of various treatment options and their efficacy, all in plain language that laypeople can understand. It's probably worth the cost of the book just for the references he provides. It won't tell you how to cure yourself, but it will give you a basic understanding of the disease so that you can make more informed choices about your own treatment. I do understand how easy it is to feel despondent when you feel like you've tried everything but nothing seems to work; however, please don't take it out on other people. I find it quite distasteful that people are so quick to rubbish a man they've never met over a book they've never read. Jane > How do you know those photos of Dr. Nase were not touched up? Guest guest
If you had been on this board for some time you would know more about Dr Nase and his struggle with rosacea. He used to answer questions from the folks on here. I understand he is having personal and health problems and he has put his focus on that. It is easy to perceive what is happening, but knowing the facts is always better before stating opinions. When one doesn't know the facts, it is wise to ask questions to uncover the facts, as you did Sharon. :-) Dear LrndC@a.... > > > I understand your frustration with your rosacea.
