Guest guest
In general testosterone has a negative affect on the skin in that it can stimulate sebum production. Simple testosterone is converted to DHT (dehydro-testosterone) in the body. DHT is the more virulent version of testosterone and is attributed to acne, alopecia, hirsutism. (your skin and hair have an enzyme called 5 alpha reductase which converts DHT). People with sebum related skin problems have either a higher level of 5 alpha reductase in their skin or higher levels of testosterone. Now testosterone may have no affect on your skin considering rosacea is a vascular disease. If you have other skin conditions that are agravated by over production of sebum (sebderm, foliculitis, acne) then it may cause some problems.
