Guest guest
I am glad you like the Kinetin foundation. Yesterday I put some Hawaiian Tropic Baby Faces sunblock with SPF 50 on first, just for some extra protection. For cleansing, I am using Roc Cleanser + Toner In One, it's non-irritating and you can just wipe it off with a tissue. However, it is considerably more expensive than the Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin. I don't think I could be bothered to do all that mixing with yogurt, cucumber, etc., but good luck to those who do it.

Guest guest
I recently started using a new foundation, Almay's Skin Smoothing with Kinetin spf 15, as an alternative to applying sunscreen (I still can't find one I can use) and yet more makeup on top of that. The foundation is great (thanks to Ruiz who suggested it) but Dove soap, which I was using previously, seemed to be too drying while I was using it. As I've tried as many cleansers as I have sunscreens, with generally poor results, I thought I'd try something different. So I looked up a lot of homemade cleanser recipes on the Web and started experimenting. Many of them seem to contain ingredients like oatmeal, yoghurt, honey, cucumber, etc. I thought I'd try whipping up some kind of facial wash/scrub in my blender, rather like a smoothie for my face. I've been slapping some of the resultant gloop on my face, massaging it over, then rinsing off with tepid water. Sometimes I also need to wipe a little residue away. I've tried a few combinations but the best so far seems to be oatmeal, sunflower oil and water (in roughly equal amounts). I blend it in small amounts and keep it in a jar in the fridge for a couple of days. If you have long hair, use an alice band or something else to keep it out of your face, because this stuff makes a mess. Right now I'm trying out oatmeal, sunflower oil and cucumber, but I think the former combination might have worked better. I'm not sure about the oatmeal/yoghurt combination, I only tried it once. I am not convinced that these concoctions remove my makeup as thoroughly as commercial cleansers, but on the other hand, my skin seems to be softer, less irritable and is completely acne-free at the moment, which is better than I was managing beforehand. So I'm going to continue to experiment. Has anyone else tried using homemade cleansers from kitchen ingredients? Lorraine

Guest guest
Hello. What does everyone think of a group outing, vacation, or ? I think it might be fun and you'd be around everyone that can relate to what you're talking about. Somewhere not humid would be the right idea. Maybe a weekend in Vegas would be fun.
