Guest guest
The August issue of American Family Physician has a article on rosacea: http://www.aafp.org/afp/20020801/435.html Out of respect for the site's copyright policy, I am not copy & pasting the article here, even though it is freely available. ly I would prefer to do so, because the photographs are quite gross. Be forewarned! I don't think it's a very good overview article, and that's a shame because I usually like this journal and recommend it as a good online resource. I personally disagree with many statements. For example, Table 2 is wrong on several points, and I don't believe that the 1983 study is proof that topical antibiotics are as effective as oral antibiotics. It's easy to nitpick through the entire article this way, but at least rosacea hit the headlines of the major medical journal for family practitioners. And it does emphasize the emotional aspects of the condition, which is obviously an important component for at least some rosaceans. And overall, the treatment section is better than most. Guest guest
That was a great article. I book marked the page. Thanks. Don't you ever sleep? I do agree that Metro is as effective as oral antibiotic, but that is my experience. But I always have this idea that Metrogel and things like that will eventual cause skin cancer. So I try to use it sparingly, if you know what I mean. I also think that a lot of people who have red faces don't have rosacea. anyway, thanks again.
