Given the concerns many of us have about traveling with SCD, this article

is of interest. What a less than entertaining start to a family

vacation!

I would recommend that anyone and everyone who has a concern about this

contact the TSA at their " Got Feedback " website at

https://contact.tsa.dhs.gov/gotfeedback/GotFeedback.aspx

and/or the TSA blog at

http://www.tsa.gov/blog

(The TSA blog says if you have feedback to go to " Got

Feedback, " but the " Got Feedback " site says that if it's

not specific to an airport to post to the blog. Gotta love the

governmental " run in circles. " )

I would also suggest that you write your senators and representatives and

demand some sanity and accountability from the TSA. Their knee-jerk

reaction to the Christmas Day bomber was to (among other things) ban

going to the bathroom or having anything in one's lap for the last hour

of any flight coming into the US. Imagine trying to explain to any child,

on the spectrum or not, that they can't have their toys or go to the

bathroom because of a rule which accomplished nothing. (Also think of

those of us with IBD or IBS being denied access to the bathroom on a

flight!)

Great post. Once my daughter was about 6 years old and the airlines wanted to

randomly search her. She was hysterical. I asked them to search me instead, but

they did her. Fortunately they did not make her take off anything.
