Guest guest
Mara, I actually just had a stool test done to check for pathogens and other gut bacteria. The only thing abnormal was that I had no growth of Lactobacillus =( Everything else seemed fine! Thanks for the thought though. Alyssa =) > >>>> > >>>> Saw a doc today for a treatment called Scenar. In reviewing my history she stated that I may be suffering from these symptoms due to a severe intestinal infection, perhaps Giardia, that I had in West Africa many years ago. She said that the bacterium could have survived in the appendix and started overpopulating the gut after my first pregnancy. If the Skenar treatment doesn't yield the expected results, she suggests I try course of Flagyl (antibiotic) to > >>>> treat the infection. Guest guest
I took Flagyl just a few months prior to starting SCD. It didn't make me feel bad, but it gave me a horrible case of D (and I ran constipated back then). Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/

Guest guest
I don't know about Flagyl and SCD but I figured I would give my experience with that particular drug since I read a lot of responses saying how bad it was. I'm not saying that it won't affect you but I know that I didn't suffer any ill effects when I took it and it definitely helped (for massive massive UC flare/hospitalization/etc).
