Guest guest
Hi Sue Martha, I hate you had to go thru this with your doctor, but I guess he is doing all he can do. You know insurance means more than the patient these days. That is such a shame, I wonder if they would repeat their oath they took to become docs???? Most of them have forgotten what it even says I'm sure. Seems like if he was really concerned he would help you figure out a way to have the test you need. I too can sympathize with changing doctors but you have to do what you have to do. I'm changing my rheumy when we get back form Oklahoma. I refuse to work with a doctor who will NOT listen to me. Doctors don't intimidate me in the least actually I think I make them nervous, because I think I know more than they do, lol ( Notice I said I think not that i did.) lol But I refuse to argue with any of them, if they don't listen to me, they are fired, I'll find one who does. It was terrifying to me to find out the rheumy I was going to was seeing 65 patients a day, and that including going into the hall and dictating the chart. That averaged out to less than 7 minutes per patient. There is no way a doctor can really help you in only 7 minutes. I talked with my cardiologist about this and he was horrified. He said they only see around 20 patients a day maybe a few more if emergencies happened. So everyone, I feel like one of our first questions in interviewing a new doc is to ask how many patiens do you see in a day?????? You really might be surprised. Sue Martha, I didn't mean to rat on the MD's of the world but I hope and pray this medicine will help to clear everything up, if not switch docs. It will be worth it. No patient should have to suffer. Just because they don't have insurance. No patient should suffer at all. Hope you feel better soon. Love, Lu > I'm sorry I'm not up and supportive right now and > tha'ts why you > havn't heard from me lately. > Its just hell being without insurance and no doctors > who can treat
