We need the rain so badly, so I doubt that it will happen. I think they're

only giving us a 20 - 30% chance of rain. This is ONE weekend I actually

don't want it to rain. Seriously doubt you need to pack a raincoat.

Umbrella might come in handy.

Love you,

Sandy,

It's always the toothbrush I forget. LOL

Well, we have stores close by the hotel so you should be able to get almost

anything except medications....and, who knows, between all of us, we might

even be able to help you with that also. <grin>

Can't wait to meet you.

Yes, yes, yes! Stress always sends me into a flare, and I've had a lot of

stress the past couple of years. My Rheumy keeps telling me to reduce the

stress. Well, duh, if SHE can't tell me how to do it, who can?? It's not

exactly like I'm stressing because I WANT it.

Take care,

T.

Heidi,

Get out those tents and bedrolls. Ha. Since they're coming to Indian

country, they might actually expect the tents. LOL But remind them to watch

out for the buffalo that roam around wild.

I just found out something about MedicAlert that

those of you who haven't ordered a bracelet would

benefit from my mistake.

When you make a list of your medical conditions

think twice before you make it final. You won't

be able to change the list-order later. Confused?

Here was my dilemma: My bracelet says " Relapsing

Polychondritis. Caution with endotracheal

intubation. " In their information database (what

they'll tell drs during that all-important phone

call), it says " Relapsing Polychondritis.

Steroid-induced diabetes. Caution with

endotracheal intubation. "

It occurred to me that some drs may not know what

RP is and I worried about the time wasted looking

it up, so I called medicalert tonight to ask them

to add " connective tissue disease " right after

" Relapsing Polychondritis. " They couldn't add the

new line where I wanted it placed, they could add

it only to the end of the list. To some of you,

it might not be a big deal, but to me, adding it

to the end sounded like I had a second disease IN

ADDITION to the RP. Their problem is a limitation

on their database application. Maybe I'm thinking

too much about the worst possibilities, but when

you're at death's door...

Just something to think about when you order your

bracelet. I'll have to make the change I wanted

when I'm ready for a new bracelet.

========================

Moonsung:

No one told me about the moody side effects of

Prednisone until a month later. You run the gamut

between crying and being mad, from being happy to

being sad...as soon as my dr told me about the

moodiness, it seemed like the clouds opened up

for me. Since then, I have a better handle on my

moods, no matter what dosage of Prednisone I'm

on. Your daughter has an uphill battle to climb

and she may still have some emotional problems

based on her age (she's 14, right? Teenagers tend

to be moody alot) and the fact this disease came

to her suddenly and she's had to take all kinds

of medications in addition to having a

tracheotomy. You might consider taking her to a

therapist who specializes in chronic illness.

When choosing the lesser of two evils,

I always like the one I haven't tried.
