My sed rate has never been up during a flare and I've had some doozy's of a flare, believe me. A lot of us don't have elevated sed rates during flares. My Rheumy told me that the sed rate is not a good indicator for RP. Again, welcome to our wonderful family and so glad you found us. I think we all need to have some good news with all the tragedy that has happened recently. For us this tragedy happened on our daughters sixteenth birthday and it was very difficult to celebrate. I always try to believe that there is some good in everything that happens, sometimes it is hard to see it at the present time. I can only hope that this is the circumstance with the US disaster and that all those people did not die in vain. Maybe this is our wake up call not to let our guard down. That the cold war is in fact not over, the enemy is just different. To me I can still hardly believe that it's happened, the news footage is like a movie, I guess I am still in shock. All I can say to all our American friends is, we give our deepest sympathy and we pray that good will prevail in tragic situation. Elaine Oh Elaine, lets have a party!
