Guest guest
Do you use a Netti-pot? I think it is helpful.I did it last night. It felt horrible, but that's probably because my sinuses were already clogged/inflamed. I'm not sure if it helped; hopefully it did!! Guest guest
I hope Imuran kicks in for you. As I said, I had a great time while on Imuran with apparently no noticeable side-effects.It should be very helpful for you since you're careful about diet etc, which I wasn't.These should together get you back on track. Thanks for the encouragement Andy =) I hope so too! I also hope YOU get back on track soon!! Guest guest
Great info! Thanks for sharing. Tumeric is also good for colds and it has anti-inflammatory properties. Claire Re:Oil of Oregano? Something my acupuncturist told me about for colds is this: ginger tea. You slice fresh ginger root, oh, maybe an inch piece. Take six green onions, cut them up. Put both in a pan and cover with water, and simmer gently 15 minutes or so. Throw out the vegetation and drink the tea. The ginger is always good and something about the fresh green onions has healing power. Not that big onions aren't healthy but this is better for a cold. It also tastes good especially with a bit of honey.

Guest guest
I just wanted to mention that when I did this the first time, regular salt burned me. But when I used sea salt, it worked just fine. Just a tip FYI Claire Re: Oil of Oregano? One thing I always do is use normal saline solution for my nose. You mix up 1/4 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup water or same proportions to other amounts of water. You need a bit hotter than lukewarm for it to dissolve, but lukewarm to use. A neti pot is probably the best but I've spend years just holding some in my hand. Do one nostril several times, and the other. Done several times a day and particularly at bedtime can really help clear the nose, and I read recently that the salt is therapeutic as well. Guest guest
Me, too, Claire. I use the Redmond Real Salt, not ugly old Mortons. If the salt is good and the proportions are correct it shouldn't burn. I just wanted to mention that when I did this the first time, regular salt burned me.
