Guest guest
Kim, you sound like a wonderful daughter!!! is so very lucky to have you as you are to have her... ... Kim is right... You have come to the right place... Please.... just keep asking questions, you will find the RP isn't as scarey as they make it sound... We are all pretty much Normal. LOL As normal as we ever were. With a quick diagnosis most of us go on as usual..It's just a matter of finding the right dr and the right medications to control the disease.... This is not a death sentence... I know that is what I first thought when I was first diagnosed...What you read scares you to death... Then I found this group and learned different... We all know what you are going through right now.. The depression, the anger, the not knowing what to do... Please, feel free to vent to us... If you are angry, tell us and get it all out... We have all been there and believe me,. there are alot of shoulders her to lean on... Kim, I know it is almost harder on the family members than it is on us at times... Sounds like you are very supportive of your mom... A BIG thank you to you.... I also was blessed by an angel of a mom. I cherish all the wonderful memories I have , But now from this group I have a new adopted mom......... Wonderful Jo.... God does provide... Thank you dear Jo....( Oh great, now I suppose I'll have to share you with the rest) LOL I got her first!!! Chins up Kim and .... things will start looking up soon.. I just know it... Let us know how the dr appt goes tomorrow... Think you will feel much better once the meds are adjusted correctly. You are all in my prayers.. hugs

Guest guest
, you made this ole cry baby cry again. I'm the one God has blessed. It's ok, I'll adopt everyone who will let me. You will always be my other daughter, but there's room in my heart for more. I already consider Heidi, Lu, , Angie, , Glenda and a whole bunch more as mine. I guess I really wanna claim all of you. (And, of course, EXPECIALLY ROY.) Better go before I open my mouth and jump right in. lol Jo Re: Questions for Dear Mom......Please Help >Kim, you sound like a wonderful daughter!!! is so very lucky to have >you as you are to have her... > >... Guest guest
Kim, I needed help is the reason I'm on this group. In fact, that's the reason I bought this puter monster. I'm 74 years old and know extreeeeemely little about the puter. My nephew (wonderful guy) found this group and told me about it. I spent hours upon hours on telephone searching for drs, went to libraries and medical libraries, and consulted a cousin(who is like a sister) of mine. Her husband is a double dr, I guess one might say. He is an M,D, and a clinical physiciatrist. She has a degree in Home Ec and RN. Oh, how I've rambled!! Anyway, I cannot explain the desperation and hurt I went through. BUT, after I found these wonderful people God picked me up through them and has given me strength. At the time I came aboard the main ones for me were Roy, Angie and . They accepted me into the group. I am eternally indebted to them, and now to so many others. So, tell your mom it can get better. Ask anyone on this group anything and never feel guilty. These people are God's chosen and will do all they can to help. I really don't think I would have kept my sanity had it not been for them. Gotta go, but remember you and your mom are in my prayers. I really and truly believe in prayer. Love and God bless, Jo Questions for Dear Mom......Please Help >Well I have wrote once on this board, and I am doing it again. I >really need help. Guest guest
Hi and Kim, Although I see that several people have already said these things to you, I want to reiterate again that this group of people will help all of you. I was diagnosed in June with RP but had been VERY symptomatic for almost 4 years. I was very depressed and searching for information when I found this group JUST 2 WEEKS AGO!! As human beings, we fear those things that we don't know about. In my case, I am a Registered Nurse who has knowledge about a lot of medical stuff but I had no knowledge about RP other than the few articles I found on the internet. There are NO Dr.'s in my area who have ANY knowledge about RP which made it even more frustrating. I couldn't pick up a book and learn about it, I couldn't go to Dr.'s and ask questions because they don't know the answers-- and then I found this group!! My anxiety level and my fears have subsided greatly in this past 2 weeks. I ask a lot of questions and still have a lot more to ask. The kindness and compassion that I have experienced has been second to none. The information that I have gathered from these good people will be so beneficial when I go back to the Dr. in October. When I first became symptomatic almost 4 years ago, I was the director of a large Hospice--which is my passion. I have thought many times over the past 2 weeks that I wish I would have found these people back then--I could have put their compassion to great use!! Please, Please, let this group help you--it won't be long before it will be you who is able to help another scared, newly diagnosed RP patient!! My prayers are with you today as you visit the Dr. Kathi >From: nant8@... >Reply-To: Rpolychondritis >To: Rpolychondritis >Subject: Questions for Dear Mom......Please Help >Date: Tue, 11 Sep 2001 04:01:44 -0000 > >Well I have wrote once on this board, and I am doing it again. Guest guest
.. Please keep her in your prayers, as you are ALL in mine. Please let her know this is the place to vent, cry, and pray together. Thanks again love, Kim.....'s daughter Thanks Kim for letting us know. She will be in our prayers and we will try to encourage her to vent, cry, talk about it, whatever she needs to do. I know its really scary at first. But then you realize that you can make it with the right kind of treatments. You have to take it just one day at a time. Give a big hug for me and tell her we are praying for her to feel better. you also will be in our prayers. Please take care, Love Lu
