Sweet tea is a southern abomination. Everyone know

God made sugar only slightly soluble (dissolvable) in

a cold drink such as iced tea, to keep us from putting

too much sugar in our tea.

From what I hear, southerners actually heat sugar

water to form a syrup, then add that to iced tea to

make it so sweet it makes your teeth hurt. If you are

in a southern restaurant and want real iced tea, be

sure to ask for * " UNSWEETENED " * iced tea; the gaggy

" sweet tea " is the default. Then you can add a slight

amount of sugar of sweetener to (normal) taste.

I certainly like it. I have found that adding sweet N Low gives ice

tea the same taste. Just one packet does it.

we have never done that Martha, we just add the sugar to the teas after its made. I think we are all addicted to sugar anyway. lol
