Guest guest
Ann Sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it. Darn old RP anyway. It has the ups and down moods to it. I think it is because our bodies are in so much turmoil inside. It is always hard for our spouses to deal with. They want to fix it and there is nothing that they can do. I know that is how my husband is. He at least knows to leave me be when I am having a bad day. Well most of the time anyway!LOL I am usually a pretty easy going person but when you get to feeling really, really bad the worst just comes out. Know that we are always here for you!!! I will be sending good thoughts and prayers your way that is for sure. Also hope the bronchial scope goes well too. It is always scary when you are going for a test that you don't know what is going to happen until you get it over and done with. Glenda is absolutely right, I think it is harder on our spouses because they feel so helpless, there if really nothing they can do to make it " all better " . I try really hard not to take my frustrations out on my family, but there are just times....I'm sure it's the disease. But it's hard to accept that, isn't it? I wonder if I would be a shrew on those days anyway? Everyone tries so hard to help, when I wish they would just leave me alone! So on the really bad days, we kind of try not to react to anything said or done. God knows it isn't easy. I hate always being so tired. I feel like if you'd lean me against a wall, I could go to sleep - except I can't sleep. Can't keep my eyes open, but can'tsleep either! Makes me crazy! Let's declare today a " Be Nice To ANN Day " , You've been dealing with a lot of stuff lately, and it takes its' toll even if we don't realize it. So, hugs, prayers and love are going out to you. Please, Lord, let them do their work for Ann and give her strength and courage to deal with each today is the best way she can. And let her know that You are always with her with your Love and grace and comfort. Love,Judy

Guest guest
Dear Judy, I agree with you totally. I love Monday thru Friday when my husband is gone to work and I can just be alone. My family is so important to me, grown and gone, but its real hard to be involved when your so self centered. When a person is sick its naturally to be that way. I used to be so involved and my husband and I had so much fun and now that's gone. Hopefully it will come back soon as I'm sure it will. I also see you are from the Chicago area, I'm in Wisconsin and cannot find a doctor here. Can you email me and give me names of yours. Maybe they would even know of someone. Trentham didn't know of any and I hate to start all over again with someone who knows zippo. Thank You....Sue

I just had a horrible insurance scare, my ins group (United Health Care) had mistakenly said he was no longer participating in the group and that I would have to find a new Rheumy. What are the odds of actually finding a doctor with a knowledge of RP? I was so upset thinking I would have to find another Rheumy. Fortunately, he is still part of the UHC program and is covered by my insurance. I was so upset at having to find another doctor, that I had contacted both UHC corporate and my company (L'Oreal) to see if an exception could be made, and both answers were no, so I was a basket case. There's just no way I can afford $95 every four weeks. Thank God that is straightened out. Give his office a call, they can probably refer you to someone in your area (or at least closer than Chicago). I wish you luck, believe me I understand how important it is to have a doctor you like who understands the disease and how to treat it. I'm so grateful that I live ina major metropolitan area with good doctors all around me. Hang in there, Love, Judy
