Love, Judy >> Well Judy, don't get your hopes up too high yet... LOL I asked the dr for the patch and he told me he had more success with Wellbutrin (same as Zyban) for smoking... I know it is an antidepressant (aren't as depressed when you quit lol) but it has proven useful as a smoking deterant. Here is what the Pill Book says (can you tell it's my second Bible) It works as a smoking deterent by acting on key hormone systems in the brain. Studies of bupropion in smoking cessation found people taking `50- 300mg a day of the drug were able to stop smoking for 4 weeks of the 7week study. The people in thse studies were not depressed. It is not liely to work until you have taken it for 3-4 weeks. So I am still in the early stages... It is not a cold turkey thing... I have noticed already that I have cut down... Just doesn't sound good or taste good as much. This is a terrible addiction and sooo hard to give up...I really want to give it my all and try my hardest... I will keep you all posted... hugs
