CMT Pain

Hi Group,

Hope I don't sound like a broken record, but here goes...talked to

my mother and aunt tonight about CMT DX. Told them about being put on

Neurontin medicine...they asked what the meds for. Well, its for the

pain. They said, " What pain? " Neither of them have pain. So my aunt

told me to get my butt to a neurologist coz CMT is not painful. It

causes you to stumble around, trip, and wind up using braces or even a

wheelchair, but there is no pain. Sooooo, on I go. Thinking maybe its

some peripheral neuropathy or something. Will this never end?

But the good news is the Neurontin is letting me sleep at night! So

maybe if I go to a neurologist, she/he will keep me on it and then I

might not care if I have another stupid disease on my medical history.

Hope my kids weren't hoping for a big inheritance, coz I'm spending

it all on doctors and drugs.
