Guest guest
T. & Lu Yes I can relate to this! Boy can I relate!!! It will get better. You both saw me at the get together in Okie land and I was the nut of the party. When I first started on the Imuran it was awful. I had to weigh feeling tired to really feeling awful from the RP. I choose the Imuran that is for sure. Yes I was so tired that I didn't think I was ever going to be able to do anything but just sleep. It takes awhile for it to stop doing that but you will get to the point that you can go on with a pretty much normal life. I still have times when my body says whoa it is time to stop and take a nap but I have many more good days than I have bad. Also the flares are not as nearly bad when I do have them. I flare but not the red swollen ears or the nose that feels like it wants to fall off or I wish it would. Sometimes I don't realize I am even flaring. I wonder if this is good or not at times but I have not had the damage that I think I would have if I hadn't gotten the RP under control. Also a special note - it is important to go in for your regular blood work when you are on Imuran. Please get the blood taken when you are suppose to so that if there are problems your Dr. will be able to correct them as needed. Also make sure that you take your vitamins and calcium while taking the Imuran. I take two multi vitamins and 1500 mg of calcium a day. Sorry to go on and on like this! But I just wanted you to know that the being tired is very normal and that it takes awhile for the imuran to kick in and let you go on with a pretty much normal life. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. If there is anything that I can do for you just ask.
