Guest guest
Hi all, Those that don't know me it is may Dad that has RP.(I send the jokes) Dad is still in remission now for almost two years. He is taking 12mg of MTX and 5 mg of pred. If he goes any lower on either a flare will start so he is just staying there and keeping it under control. Only problem he has is slowing down a little at age 80 and that really gets to him! Sees his Docs regularly and has blood test every month. One Doc told him he would like to be in such good shape as Dad is at age 80! He exercises every day and keeps his muscles toned up. I think this is real important. He also does not take any meds together. Keeps a log everyday and takes everything a hour or so a part. He is doing better than I am. I am off the pred. for Polymalgia rhuematica and having trouble with the weak muscles and have injured my rotator cuff from pulling myself up in to the PU while we where traveling this summer. Boy do they hurt!! But I will get better!! Love & prayers Judee
