My rheumy said that very often the liver function tests go up at the beginning of treatment with MTX. As your body gets used to it, they should revert back to normal. Just keep getting tested on a regular basis. Sharon ===== __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Chuck, It is very common for your liver enzymes to go up a little and then they should fall back into normal range. Make sure, if you drink any alcohol at all that you limit it-- especially on the methotrexate. I hope that wasn't the first liver enzyme test you have had done????? You started Methotrexate about a week after me and I have had 5 levels drawn on me since then. You should be having a CBC,liver enzyme tests and an ESR being done on a monthly basis right now. If they are okay for several months then you can back it off-- but not for awhile! I am hanging in there with you and your fatigue!! I battle it so bad-- I always feel a little better when I read your posts about your fatigue-- SORRY!!
