As for arranging spices alphabetically... this diet definitely takes major organization. C'mon... who else has organized binders of recipes or makes endless " to-do " lists for their cooking? I was really disappointed, because before SCD, I loved their double vanilla extract! I have lists of what I need for which item. And I print out, for special occasions, mini-cookbooks with all the recipes for, say, Thanksgiving. And I create lists for each dish, with the ingredients for each one. I then mark off each ingredient as I buy it, and each ingredient as it does into the dish, and each dish as it's finished and placed on the warmer. However, my sister and my niece have, and like some of the ones which do not have sugar or other illegals in them. Penzey's spices are very high quality, and I prefer them to just about any others. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Yellow mustard powder to go in various spice mixes. Whole yellow mustard seed and cracked brown mustard seed for making Creole mustard. (Yum! My husband goes through a quart jar of it a month! Guest guest
I seemed almost that big. Well, like a grocery bag, anyhow. Lol! I bet! Bay leaves weigh nothing! I can just see the UPS guy with a trash bag sized sack of bay leaves flung over his shoulder knocking on your door with a strange look on his face... Guest guest
Joanna & Dawn, Mine are organized alphabetically too. Just saves a lot of frustration when you love spices, have a lot of them, and need to find that particular one. Just makes sense to me! I also have organized binders of recipes and have started my new SCD binder! Dawn, I loved your declaration "I am Italian and food is love." Haha, beautiful! I am going to get all the ones you mentioned that I don't already have (some of those I grow in my garden). I am ready to try some exotic things and experiment with different kinds of chili peppers.
