Mt pred has been upped

Finally talked to the rheumy's nurse at 4:15 our time. Left 3 messages, 1

yesterday, 1 this am & 1 around 2:00. Also left a messge for my internist,

which I have now cancelled. My ear is starting to swell slightly & red. I

have the chills & my legs are wobbly. I am going back up to 20 mg twice a

day & if I don't see improvement go up to 30 twice a day. I also have the

name of the Doc on call if I need him over th weekend. Goin to the rheumy

next thurs. unless I need to go sooner. This iis the pits, but at least I

can catch it right away now that I know the signs.

Just wanted to keep you all posted, I just get antsy becauseI figure I'm on

meds, so it should go away & it's not going to happen that easily.

Sue, so glad you finally got to talk to the nurse at least. You are doing

right by trying to stop the flare right in it's tracks. I'm sure you will

feel much better when the pred kicks in... Let us know how you are doing and

if you need that dr on the weekend, please don't hesitate to call him.

Sue, are you only on the Pred? I am on methotrexate and pred (altho' down to 2 mgs) in two months, I'll be off it!!!!)
