Guest guest
Heippa! According to the instructions of my digital thermometer, the normal area is 97.7 - 99.5 (36.5 - 37.5 C). Sounds a bit high??? I´m on the lower limit or even under it. So we don´t have only cold women. :-) In Finland we measure under the armpit, do you take oral temp. in America? The most reliable method is rectally. When using an armpit, it´s possible to get too low readings, if the tip is not pressed and in the contact properly. In mouth it should be under the tongue. When a digital meter beeps, it hasn´t reached the final reading. If you let it be some more minutes, you will get a (much) higher reading. If you use a "thermoscan" ("shoot" into your ear), the reading is higher than traditional, and you must be very careful, how to measure. Now, when having RP, my ear tunnels are so narrow, that it doesn´t work properly. As a young man, I was dealing with T & M equipment, including thermometers for industrial use.
