Kim,What about fermented veggies? Can you tolerate them? They would provide good enzymes.AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, March 17, 2010 12:35:44 PMSubject: Re: Re: Digestive aids-Betaine HCL-anyone used

I

don’t know if my experience is one that you will also share, but my upper

GI doesn’t tolerate vinegar at all, and lemon juice rarely, now that I

have a dysfunctional upper GI. And I can’t tolerate any of the

digestive enzymes I’ve tried so far. But my reactions to digestive

enzymes go beyond a set of digestive symptoms, my immune system also reacts. I

would start off slowly and cautiously. Take a low dose at first of any

digestive enzyme you try. You may need to experiment with the brand and

formulations, trying some with betain HCl and some without. That’s

what I do anyway, but so far I haven’t been successful. About once

a year I try a new brand with slightly different amounts of ingredients, only

to get the same reactions. Frustrating, as I know I can use the digestive

enzymes now that I have no gallbladder and my nutrient levels are slowly

declining. But, that’s me. [sigh] Kim M. SCD 6 years Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction 6+ years neurological & spinal deterioration 3+ years >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I
