I just wanted to say one thing. Marilyn, I tried your recipe for chili powder

recently and I LOVE it! I haven't used it in an actual chili yet but it tastes

pretty great on the butternut squash baked " fries " I just made!

Oh yes, that's good too! I did a mix with some oil, the chili powder, onion

powder, garlic powder (made my own for both), basil and then a little cayenne

and cumin...dehydrated it and voila! Fabulous chips!

That sounds yum, too! You put the mix on the kale chips?

Yep! I mix the stuff together, sprinkle a little olive oil on the kale and then

sprinkle the mix over it and mix it all up with my hands, trying to coat all of

them, and then pop it in the dehydrator. The next day I have some super tasty

kale chips! :)

That sounds soooo good! I love kale chips- my husband (who hates veggies) even

cleans the pan with me. It never makes it to the dinner table!

Just wanted to add that you can bake them for about 20 minutes on a cookie sheet

at 350 if you don't have a dehydrator :)

Yep! I have two big pizza pans with the holes -- intended to reheat pizza

slices crisply. I lay a sheet of parchment over them, and spread out the

kale on the parchment, and stick it in a 350F oven for 10-15

minutes.

Or it may not take that long. The first time I made them I put them

in at 350 and set the timer for a little less than 20 minutes and it was

a good thing I stayed upstairs near the kitchen because after ten minutes

I smelled them and they were done!
