Guest guest
Oh Lizz I can't believe the brass you know whats that some drs. have. Fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come one. I wanted to punch my dr in his gut and tell him , you have room to talk, he looks like a over stuffed teddy bear. His wife even called him fat. go figure, kind of like the kette calling the pot black. If he would be more sympathic i would be more inclinded to listen. but he tells me stuff like , the meds, don't make your blood sugar go up,. thats not a side effect of it. Then when I tell him that he needs to read the side effects of the meds, that it says right there that high blood sugar is a rare side effect. He just laughs at me. Probably is thinking i need to quit reading and start walking. told me not to eat lunch but go for a walk. I ask him, lunch whats that, i am usually so busy i don't eat lunch anyway. this all started because i told him i needed to have 1 mg pred to come down a lower amount each month instead of 5 mgs per month. When I was first getting problems, my hands weregetting sore and stiff, I mentioned this to my thenpcp. He said, it's because you are overweight. Ithought - how does that affect my fingers??? I can seeit might make your knees worse, but your FINGERS???And mostly we have put on weight because of pred. S9odon't think of being overweight as a characterfailing. It is not your fault. It is part of theproblem, not the cause. You hang in there and thinkpositively. Hopefully you will find a decent doctor, who listens to what you say and takes it seriously. They can't always do anything, but if they listen ishelps a lot!
