Guest guest
Ann, I get rib flares and they can occur anywhere, although I've noticed my lower ribcage is the most painful. I'm on 30 mg. of Pred. and I still flare. My Rheumy leaves it up to me to decide when to raise my Pred. dose. Sandy Anyone with rib flares could you tell me where the pain is?My ribs hurt like crazy. My rheumy has me on 20mg. of prednisone and he saysthat is a high enough dose to stop inflammation. If it is why is my rightear flaring? It has been burning since he dropped my dose from 30mg.I need some advice.AnnDISCLAIMER!!WE ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, THEREFORE ANY INFORMATION THAT IS RECEIVED HERE IS FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY. Guest guest
EVERYWHERE!!!! When I'm in a rib flare, they hurt from top to bottom, front to back. Can't even stand to wear a bra it's so bad. Chestbone doesn't hurt much, but rib cage is a killer. Even when I'm not having a flare, they are always very sensitive and sore, just not as bad. W >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Anyone with rib flares could you tell me where the pain is?

Guest guest
Ann, when my ribs flare they hurt from the sternum out. I also get pain in the back of my ribs... this the drs say isn't RP, but I really question that... I know that the cartiledge is in the front, but the back side of my ribs hurt too. Doesn't sound to me like the 20mg is controling your flare. It might be enough to stop normal inflamation, but I think you should remind him this is RP you are dealing with. Has he seen your ear? I would definately call him and let him know the pain you are in and that the 20mg is NOT controling the flares. just my 2 cents. hugs << Anyone with rib flares could you tell me where the pain is?
