I am, in fact, on Day 2 of a liver cleanse, drinking lots of apple cider and water with Celtic sea salt, plus I am having daily sauna treatments in my sister's far infrared sauna. I just quit smoking and am hoping this will lighten the load on all my organs, especially my liver and adrenals. My theory on why I wake up like that around 3 a.m. each night is that this is the time the liver/gallbladder area is doing some work/healing/ detoxing. Guest guest
Well , I have quit a zillion times. I only started around 15 years ago as opposed to 'been a smoker since I was 15" but still 15 years is a long time, with periods in between where I would quit briefly then start up. I started smoking to begin with due to the immensely stressful marriage I was in and chronic pain/fatigue 24/7 for many years. My life hardly seemed worth living I felt so stuck and I didn't know where to leave myself for the despair. I figured what the hell, I already feel like death warmed over, I may as well be bad and have some fun! So now every time I wanted to stop and the pain/fatigue would intensify I would reach for my drug of choice - cigarettes. I'm crossing my fingers that the 'schizophrenia" over smoking won't overtake me again! Yeah, I know it's totally irational. But when you're in so much pain and unable to be active, you reach a point where you don't care (to put it politely).
