Guest guest
Keep up the good work. 5 days of no smoking is 1 more than 4. Take it a day at a time. I stopped smoking 15 years ago when I was sick. My family was ready to ask me to start again. I was a bitch on wheels for a couple of months. But it was the best thing I ever did. I had a constant cough & my chest was always tight. I'm down to 40 of pred for a week and a half now but my nose started getting red yesterday & now I have swelling where my glasses rest on my nose. Of course there was no swelling yesterday when I talked to the rheumy about my blood tests which were normal. I will stay on 40 for 2 more weeks. See my pcp tomorrow & will see what she says about my nose. Feels a little tingly on the tip. The nose & around the eyes is where I had my problems a year ago, so I hope it's not history repeating itself & I am flaring. On the whole I am feeling better because I am pacing myself & trying to rest. I don't want to overdo & be miserable on Thurs. The kids are coming, but it's all right because everyone helps, unless my 3 daughters decide to go shopping 45 minutes before dinner is ready like they did last year. My youngest daughter's girlfriend is coming over on Friday & they are going to put up the tree for me. Best wishes for a pain free & happy thanksgiving. Talk to you all soon.
