Guest guest
HI Sweetheart Liz, It's so good to hear from you. My back is doing some better but my broken arm is driving me crazy and my left leg, I broke my toes and sprain some ligaments in that leg, so I have a brace boot to wear, it weighs a ton. So hopefully walking around I'll build up muscle or lose weight one. lol I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Are you feeling good? I'm so glad that I got to meet you in Oklahoma. You are such a sweetheart! I could sit and listen to you talk all day. I pray all is well with you! Miss you & love you much! LU Lu - great to hear from you - have been thinking of you struggling around!!! Hope you are beginning to feel better. How is your back - mine has been playing up - it must be sympathy pains!! Guest guest
Lu, I am on Methotrexate, Prednisone, Multi-vitamin and Tums everyday. I also take Zofran as needed for nausea and then yesterday I got a prescripion for Comapzine for nausea. The methotrexate is not causing my nausea OR making it any worse. Severe nausea was my VERY FIRST symptom and then shortly after that began, I started losing my voice. The level of nausea has not changed at all since I started the methotrexate. I have been doing this long enough now that I know that the nausea is the first symptom of a flare for me. The nausea has never lasted more than 6 or 7 days at a time until this time. Usually, I just put myself on a liquid diet and tuff it out until I get through it. This time, it just didn't work that way. The compazine helped a great deal though. I know that every one (even the Dr.s)think it is the methotrexate, because it is such a common side effect but I have been battling this level of nausea for almost 5 years now and the medicines haven't changed it a bit. I do wonder if I should change to something besides the methotrexate, not because of the nausea, but becasue I just don't seem to be improving. I just don't know what to try next. Any input would be greatful!!
