Guest guest
Dear Cathy: Cath here from Florida. Have been struggling lately so getting to posts is difficult. Sorry I did not find out sooner or post quicker for you regarding your dad. Please know how much everyone in the group loves and cares about how you are doing. We are another type of family which is here for you through the really hard times such as these. Please don't hesitate to pick up the phone to call one of us if your grief is great or post you need words of support or prayers. We are always here for you, none of us will ever have to share our sorrow alone as long as we have our friends and families. I can't pretend to know what to say to make things better for you since I have yet to know what it's like to lose a parent, and can't bear to even think about facing that. Just know that each of our hearts saddened and prayed for you as word passed about your dad. Yes, he is with God and in a better place, but it can't be easy trying to get through the days. Grab on to God and hold tight and he will get you through. Cry when needed, laugh when you can and remember how great God's love for all of us must be and how happy is is to have one of his children home with him. No more pain, just peace, smiles, warm hugs and reunions with many loved ones who have gone before. Please reach out and ask for help if needed and know God is right beside you through this all. Believe me, God will never let go, he will always see us through to the light. Many prayers are being said to help bring you strength and peace right now. Your family here cares very much and anything we can do to help, just let us know! In thought and prayer for you and your family, Cathy C (cath) Thought you might like this prayer. O God: Give me strength to live another day; Let me not turn coward before its difficulties or prove spiritless to its duties; Let me not loose faith in other people; Keep me sweet and sound of heart, in spite of difficult times and situations, ingratitude, treachery or meanness; Preserve me from minding little stings or giving them; Help me to keep my heart clean, and to live so honestly and fearlessly that no outward failure can dishearten me or take away the joy of conscious integrity; Open wide the eyes of my soul that I may see good in all things; Grant me this day some new vision of your truth; Inspire me with the spirit of joy and gladness; and make me the cup of strength to suffering souls; In the name of our only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ - Amen. Or other things,,, like when my dad was alive he loved rare steak,,, I mean put on heat flip and it was done,,, at that time ewwwwww, but now I have to laugh because that is exactly how i like my steak now, and I can imagine him In Heaven with God saying,,, oh sure, now she eats it.... hold on to God and it will get easier, never forgotten but easier Bj Cathy's Dad Dear Cathy:Cath here from Florida.
