This is from the Legal/Illegal List:

Juice from concentrate Illegal

Juice from concentrate is normally illegal because when it is reconstituted

they often add other things (like sugar). Often additives are not listed on the

label

No, they were from concentrate. MaraI believe some people are finding that the bottles of Welch’s Grape Juice are saying ‘from concentrate’. If that is the case then it would be illegal. Check the label carefully as manufacturers often change their formulas.I'm pretty sure they ALL are from concentrate. Here's an ingredient list on a bottle of Welch's from amazon:Ingredients: Grape juice from concentrate (filtered water, grape juice concentrate), Grape Juice, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). No artificial flavors or colors added. (Contains natural fruit sugars only.) Made from Concord Grapes. Were they ever not from concentrate? I find that hard to believe...Peace =)Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 50 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 35 mg 1x per day

Because unless the concentrates are checked out carefully, they may have

extra sugars added. Companies typically do not make their own

concentrates. They buy them from other companies. THey are not,

therefore, required to list those extra sugars on the label because THEY

didn't add them.

No, that's kedem organic which is legal. Regular kedem has a lot ofgrape concentrate that sweetens it quite a bit. MaraKedem grape is also legal. You have to double check the label. For some reason, I think it's only the white but maybe the purple, not the mixes. Just juice is the only line legal for Knudsen's. Does anyone know about the Just Juices? Thanks for the info. The Welch's grape juice I give my son does say "from Concentrate". I am assuming it was checked out and is legal? Is that a safe assumption? I would hate to think I am unknowingly giving him something illegal.

Considering how hard we all work to make sure our food doesn't have

illegals in it, that's entirely reasonable!

The named juices are OK, but keep an eye out for the packaging, because

you do not want the juices with added calcium. THose were checked out,

and the calcium they use in the juice has a starch in it, I

believe.

Last time I looked at the frozen Welch's grape juice it listed

sugar. Don't know about now.

My husband misunderstood and bought about 6 containers of frozen

welch's grape juice. Can anyone tell me why it's illegal?
