Guest guest
Hi to all I am new to the group, just going to my first " rheumy " appt tomorrow. This is a very scary thing to go through and I am so happy to have found . Anyone wanting to talk is so welcome to email me...Larri@... I really haven't figured this computer stuff out well yet but I am trying. I am 54 and a nurse if you can believe that ( Since I have never heard of RP before, but neither have any of the other nurses or facility doctors I work with either )I work in a nursing home doing orientations, CPR intstrutor and alot of gloomy paperwork. I went to the ENT doctor because my primary doctor thought she saw a growth inside my r ear. While I was in the ENT's office my r ear got really red and he asked if that happened often and I said, " oh, not to worry that has been going on for a couple years, everyone says that is how they can tell my blood pressure is up or I am mad " The Dr said, " oh I don't think so " do you have blah blah blah symptoms and of course I did.Joint pain, dizziness, double vision, cough, red around my throat, off balance, well you know. Then tender hearted as Drs can be he wrote on his business card, " relapsing polychondritis " and said we will look into this after you take your first course of pred. ( Oh joy )well it has been 2 months and they just got me my first appt with the rheumy for tomorrow. sorry to take up all the space but I can be quite a talker, lol write anytime and I will check back often Thanks to for getting me started here
