Guest guest Posted February 22, 2010 Report Share Posted February 22, 2010 Hi, I'm new to this, though was on a d-tox of grain-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, if it tasted nice-free for almost 3 months. I turned to SCD because the Metagenics supplements and herbs my naturopath had me on gave me constant diarrhea. I have undiagnosed IBS/Leaky Gut/Chronic Fatigue/multiple food intolerances. Prior to the naturopath, I was constantly constipated, now constant diarrhea. I got really concerned, although I'm nothing like the 10-20 visits a day (more like 2), but my energy, which was pretty poor before is now very low and like most, I have to work, run a home etc. I have done the intro, then tried almond bread and some almond butter and the D continued, so went back onto the intro and the D continued (for a week)and I got weaker. I got so desperate that after trawling through the old Long Island listserve, got some slippery elm, now I find it is illegal (stopped the D though). I can't tolerate cows milk, so am currently on Goats milk and goats yoghurt, beef and chicken broth, carrots, zucchini, green beans, a little chicken, a little beef. Is it ok for the D to continue?
