Guest guest
Are you starting Prompt or have you been doing prompt for some time now. Prompt has significantly helped Charlie to bring the language quicker. [ ] Vitamin E---bleeding I never mentioned on this board the type of bleeding we saw in my son that caused me to take him off E, which he was on with fish oil for only 4 days recently inprep for a visit to Dr. Agin, which I cancelled because we have more pressing concerns and are starting Prompt therapy. I had prior to that given him 200 IUs of E here and there. Same sporadic fish oil history. When I tried both 4 days in a row, we got gum bleeding. We have not had that since early on, before and just after starting GFCF. Something else is going on. We have a hematology appointment in March. I see now that my kid did not truly for the apraxia label, nor the autistic one. He had receptive delays before allergen removal that apraxics do not have. He could express a little even prior to allergen removal. During detox he did only have soft neuro signs. I still think those were more autistic than apraxic. Just like the different colors of the rainbow each child is different. Don't just try one thing or one dr. Read the stories, see where your kid fits in and find your answers. I pray nothing worse than delays is our deal. We see a hematologist in March.
Guest guest
Starting. My valentine baby soon ages out of EI where the crappy therapist said just yesterday " Maybe that will help. In 15 years I have never seen a kid like him. " Have I mentioned how impaired socially this woman is? I think what she meant was he is not autistic, seemed slightly apraxic as the ability to try to mimic sound was inconsistent (metabolic issue I see that now) and then he grew leaps and bounds too fast gor her to comprehend. The therapist we found listened to the entire story, gets the deal and uses Prompt differently and effectively in each kid. She therapizes the child in front of her. I think it will work but help me understand Charlie's initial aversion. I suspect, as ying and yang, our supermen are similar in this regard. > > Are you starting Prompt or have you been doing prompt for some time now. > Prompt has significantly helped Charlie to bring the language quicker. > > [ ] Vitamin E---bleeding > > > > I never mentioned on this board the type of bleeding we saw in my son > that caused me to take him off E, which he was on with fish oil for > only 4 days recently inprep for a visit to Dr. Agin, which I cancelled > because we have more pressing concerns and are starting Prompt therapy. > I had prior to that given him 200 IUs of E here and there.
