Hey Alyssa and all..

My trip was great!

My family is lovely but quite intense.

I totally see the emotional connection and how it impacts me but that is a

different rant altogether LOL.

This trip was completely different from last year.

I had plenty of variety of food to eat.. I even went more dairy heavy while

there (which isn't something very rare for me besides my lovely dripped goat

yogurt and ghee and high vitamin butter oil that I take occasionally) and I was

totally ok.

The yogurt thing was a hassle so I ended up making my own kraut.

It worked out perfectly.. by the time my dripped yogurt from home ended I had

kraut!!

I saw friends, spent time with family.

My grandma has a complicated case of skin carcinoma on her leg. She is getting

major radiation therapy in hopes she won't need to amputate. It's intense. But

my brother, husband and I were there and it was just nice holding space to love

and support her.

Last year, was a disaster for me with a trip to the ER basically on no food. I

was so sick. My goodness. Glad that is behind me. I am also glad that my

memory is long and quite vivid about these things- I feel and know how far I

have come and I hold that really close to my heart because I appreciate every

day of feeling good! I am finally just able to go out and if something illegal

is on my plate I just move it aside. Pretty cool.

It's a new life. Really.

I dig this diet, love Elaine and am thankful to the mind/body work that I do!!
