Guest guest
, I was saying exactly the same thing to my rheumy last time I saw him. Before I was diagnosed I was getting chest infection after chest infection - it usually started in the sinus then sort of 'slipped down'. I was in and out of hospitals and ER rooms all the time. In the three years I have been on methotrexate I have only had one sinus infection and no chest infections!! I think maybe that when these drugs (EITHER METHO OR PRED) the body does not produce as much mucus to get infected, if you see what I mean - I can't think of anything else. I hope to see my pulmonary specialist soon, and will ask him what he thinks. Still, I am really not complaining about it!!! Love Liz --- " B. Guest guest
, The read out I got with my pred. said THIS MEDICINE MAKES YOU MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO ILLNESS. Avoid contact with people with colds or other infections. If your exposed to chickenpox, measles, or TB while taking this med. or within 12 months after stopping this med call your Dr. I hope this helps. I think someone else mentioned about the measles. Take care, Ann Re: Digest Number 1979 > In a message dated 9/10/01 11:14:44 PM Pacific Daylight Time, > hiacynth1@... writes: > > << I thought that > being immunisuppressed meant that you were > susceptible to all kinds of infection. >> > , you are correct...
