That's a good question. I live a few hundred yards from the Canadian

border and am in Ontario at least once a week, sometimes more (and worked

there for years after I moved back to the U.S.), but I can't think of any

coffee that Canadians particularly like more than others

I've heard of Second Cup from my friend in Toronto.

However, the locale of what I'm writing is in the Canadian Rockies.

Now I gotta decide if my character is intop roasting her own beans, or if

that's something one of her new Canadian friends introduces her to.

<g>

And of course, later on, there's a Venezuelan character....

Not to mention the Maine Coon Cat.....

Yes, but I know even less about Venezuelan coffee than I do about US or

Canadian coffee. I just know that coffee is a National Beverage, seconded

only by Hot Chocolate.

You could always consider turning the Maine Coon into a Canadian lynx. :)

Beautiful animals (love the tufted ears), though not exactly anybody's

pets! Natural habitat: Canadian Rockies and coastal mountains. In fact,

there was one that wandered down onto one of the Olympic ski runs last

week, in daylight. It seemed to be curious, appeared to be sniffing

around, checking things out. Unusual, because they  tend to be elusive

creatures. I saw the film footage on CTV's Olympic coverage; I'm not sure

if NBC showed it.

Oh, I like lynxes.... hence my online moniker of Marilynx. But no, the

Maine Coon is a pet. A most beloved pet. Who has to be left behind in an

emergency, and who ends up being reunited with her in a most complicated

set of maneuvers.
