Guest guest
First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to my question about OoO! Next, a lot of you suggested eat a lot of garlic. Is this still effective if I eat it cooked, as opposed to raw? I think I'm going to roast a whole head of garlic tonight, and I was hoping it would be good for me as well as delicious! I've actually never roasted garlic before, but considering how much I love getting hunks of it in my soup, it seems like it's high time I try roasting some!! Peace =) Alyssa 15 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008 SCD June 2009 (restarted) Azathioprine 50 mg 1x per day Prednisone 40 mg 1x per day

Guest guest
I know garlic is more effective raw but that doesn't mean, from what I've read, that cooked means it's ineffective. And, it's so much milder cooked you can eat more! One really nice way to cook it is to take a whole bulb, cut a slice off the top, wrap in foil, and bake for about an hour. It comes out mellow and creamy and soft, is a nice spread. Or just eat it like I do. The only problem here is if someone in the house (like my DH, who thinks a clove of garlic being cooked on Mars is entirely too close) doesn't care for smelling it cooking. I just figure the more garlic we can get down the better.
