Lots of Love Glenda Hubby Mike and I are getting ready to leave for Maui on Tuesday. (He won the trip last December at his company's Christmas party!) I really don't want to go!!! Guest guest
Hi Glenda :-) Thanks for your encouragement and good wishes. Hey, at least I don't have to cook for a week! I think Kapa'a is nearby where we are going...but then again, all those Hawaiian names confuse me and they all start sounding alike LOL I'm sure your daughter is aware of the latest scare in Hawaii. They are having an outbreak of dengue fever.....and they haven't had a problem with it for something like 50 years before this latest outbreak. Guess I'll load up on mosquito repellant 'cause they're the carriers. Oh well....I know there will be lots to keep me occupied. I'll be in touch later. Take care :-) Connie > Connie H. > I hate to fly but to go to Hawaii I would just love it!LOL That is the one place I would love to go the other is Alaska. My daughter is living over there now. Guest guest
Hey, you've been to Maui before? You're becoming quite a " kamaaina " (that's referring to one of the locals, or, one familiar with the Hawaii). It's funny that you mentioned all the " K " words as a visiting class mate of mine from Texas commented on the very same thing. She was also amused to see Hawaiian words that contained 4 or 5 vowels side by side. Here's the latest weather forecast for Maui: Mostly sunny, a few isolated trade showers. Temperature: 83 >>74 Sunrise: 6:36 a.m., Sunrise 5:54 p.m.; Moonrise: 9:02 p.m. Glad that you have enough mosquite repellent, suncreen and paba.... Have a truly wonderful vacation with your husband!!! Aloha, karen

Guest guest
Oh , you are such a sweetie :-) Thank you for the weather report. Hawaii is sounding better and better. I know once we get there we won't want to leave! That's the way it was last time. I am looking forward to the warm sunshine. When I first got sick I would have loved to soak up some of that heat as I was sooooo cold for the first two years. It was finally diagnosed as Reynaud's disease, another common denominator in some of the rheuamtic diseases. Dear :-) yes, you with your hand waving in the air! LOL I would gladly change places with you, but is it OK if my hubby Mike still goes? You'll like him, I just know you will :-) Poor Lu, I missed your post about falling down. I hope everything heals and you can start feeling better. Remember back in January when both Liz and I each had a falling episode? I still wake up with a stiff back in the morning, but if I curl up with my knees pulled up to my chest it loosens things up. Glenda, dear Glenda, you go ahead and vent anytime you need to, OK? Sometimes the ones who always appear cheerful need to take time out and blow off steam, too. I think a requirement for medical school should be for the students to spend a semester or two in this group...then they could find out how NOT to treat their patients! Dear Liz, thank you for giving us a tiny peek into the life of the Saudies. You really help to give a balance to the situation. We all have to remember that there are good and decent people with all kinds of customs and differences. Not only did bin Laden do a huge disservice to Americans, but in doing so he damaged many aspects of the Saudies. One good thing, this whole thing has united not only the US, but most of the world, at least those with basic human values. ??? Oh , where are you? Even though I skim through the posts I have noticed that we don't hear a lot from you. I know you are busy with lots of doctor appointments (and I sure hope you can find some doctors who really understand the big picture) I hope everything else is fine with you and your family. Everyone else, everyone of you....please take care and give your families a big hug. We'll all get through these difficult times. After all, there's nothing stronger than our determination! Sending hugs....I really better go pack!! :-) Connie H -- In Rpolychondritis@y..., " A.C. Lau " <kagor@j...> wrote: > Hey, you've been to Maui before?
