Guest guest
Hi, Two of my 3 children try vegan diet , but not as rigourous as . I found the flares was less important .when they are eating only vegetable. The vegan diet is really hard for kids, so they decide to follow it only during the flares. I beleive it can be efficient. Guest guest
Dear Marrie-Pia, Hi.... My daughter Inhae has been on Vegan diet but she still has flares on her ears and eyes since April this year. I believe that the kind of her food is important factor to flaring. Recently I am thinking that Vegan diet is not enough to prevent her from flaring. While she was on 40~60 mg/day of PD and was taking sufficient vegetable & fruit juices without any animal product, she got severe inflamation. I reduced her fruit and vegetable juices and now she is getting better and is going to reduce the dose of PD (now on 30 mg!!). I would say to you, even though this is not proven and differnt person to person, that in case of my daughter some fruits and vetables bring her bad results. Please just refer to followings: Bad Effect Foods : * Apple, Orange, Melon, Water Melon, Carrot, Radish(root), Galic, Onion, Mushroom, Any Oil (Use olive oil as little as possible), Wheat flour(* as you know, Wheat is not major grain for Korean to have) Good Effect Foods : * Lemon, Peach, Strawberry, Banana, Pineapple, Green/Wild vine grape, Cabage, Cucumber, All green leaf vegetables, Rice, Buckwheat, Barley. I will keep trying these diet tests and inform you on any updates. If you have any idea about this, please share it with me.
