Hi Kathi. Thanks for reminding me..........I was extremely fatigued. So much so that after I took a shower, I would be exhausted and have trouble drying my hair. It took me twice as long to get ready for work because I'd have to stop and rest a few minutes. I also had and still do have trouble with nausea. Sometimes my abdomen would be so bloated and swollen, I looked like I was about 5 months pregnant! The GI doc did an endoscopy and a colonoscopy on me and found that I had ulcers throughout my intestinal tract. He took biopsies of them to determine the cause and they were of unknown origin -- sound familiar LOL like RP? Anyway, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, not ruling out Crohn's Disease, and he thought that the Methotrexate I was on should help some. Needless to say, they still don't know the cause and just chalk it up to being part of my RP.

About being dizzy from the head pains -- I would get really sharp pains in my head and I'd have to lean up against a wall or something for support, and I'd grab my head like I was trying to force it back -- know what I mean? One time I had just gotten out of my husband's vehicle and I got a sharp pain in my head. I would have fallen if my son had not been right there and caught me! I don't know if it is the pain that causes the dizzy feeling, but I do know that I don't feel the room spinning; I have before, but not with the sharp pains. I've wondered if it has anything to do with blood flow. I do have Meclizine for dizziness but it is an entirely different feeling than with the head pain.

I also had chest pains -- I was on my way back from meeting with my ex and I had to pull off the highway on to the shoulder because the pain was so bad.

As far as the Metho versus Imuran......I was on the Metho and then they added the Imuran to it so I was not on them separately. I do think the Metho injections were of more benefit than the oral, simply because it got in your system faster without tearing up your stomach. I do believe that the side effects of Imuran are not as bad as the ones with Metho and they do basically the same thing, but I believe the Imuran works better. I am on the Imuran with the Enbrel now and I believe it has helped.

I hope this helps -- take care!

Hugs and smiles,

L. (:>})
