Guest guest
Nothing has been helping with them. They don't want me to take Ibuprofen because of the burning in my chest & throat & I can't talk to the gastro guy until next week because he is out of town. He wants me to have a test where they put a tube down through your nose to measure the acid. I was supposed to have it done a month ago but wound up in the hospital diagnosed with RP. His nurse said he will want the test done even though my Internist said it wouldn't be true because of the pred. I don't think my Internist likes that I have found the group. She hasn't come right out & said anything but it's the way she says it. I also brought in an article for her & she glanced at it & said she would put it in my chart. At least she is willing to write referrals for anything I need as far as my rheumy, ent & ophthalmologist so I guess that is half the battle. I had my flu shot Monday at Osco by us. I waited in line for 2 hours for it. Most of the peopel were older but I had a bill from one of the Dr's & it said RP on it so I got it. Believe me they would not have wanted me to make a scene. I went down to 50 mg of pred on Sunday & am feeling pretty good. No ear pain. Went to the ENT yesterday & my external otitis media is gone finally. It only took a month & 90.00 worth of ear drops & that is my co payment. Throat is a little sore but not going to worry about it. I feel not too bad today. Other than being exhausted, the only thing that bothers me is the profuse sweating. I had sweating problems before but nothing like this. I was soaked just from standing in line for the flu shot, clothes & everything. I also start sweating around 9:30 at night & my pillow is inevitably soaked every night. I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago & have been on the patch & never had problems like this. Sue M I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I have lost both my parents, my dad first, 22 years ago, but nothing prepared me for losing my mom. It was 6 years in April & I still have problems with it. We didn't always get along great but I can't believe how much I miss her. My prayers go out to you at this difficult time. Take care of yourselves my dear new friends. Guest guest
Dear Sue, Sue M here, thanks for good wishes regarding my mother. I sure appreciate it. I had the sweating problem a few months ago. Would have to change nightgowns overnight and ruined a feather mattress pad. I don't think it was a hormone problem because I also have been on hrt for years. The sweathing thing lasted a couple months and then just went away. My pillow would also be soaked and my hair scalp sweated also. I'm sorry I have no idea what it was. should start keeping a journal so I can keep track of all this. I sometimes have the drooling problem. Need to flip the pillow once overnight. Good luck to you and I'm sorry I couldn't be more help...Sue M
