Guest guest
Grrrrrrr! $#@%$#%#$%!!!! Went to the ENT today in hopes of getting some meds that would help. He told me that it is not his area of specialization and he can't prescribed high doses of pred!!! When I told him that the websites he referred me to seemed to confirm his diagnosis, he told me to be careful of " 2nd year med student syndrome " in which you believe that you have everything you read.....!!!!! He sent me there for God's sake. Then he gives me a referral to 2 rheumies, one of which I discover only treats foot and ankle problems! What the hell is he doing???? I then asked him about the inflammation he saw on the wall between my esophagus and trachea when I was having a serious throat flare and he said that RP is visible externally only after serious inflammation. Well, DUH!!!! I would like to know what else he thinks it could be????? My friend who is a nurse said that he just doesn't want to take me on as a patient and is afraid to treat me. That really sucks. Now I have to wait to get in to a rheumy and suffer and hopefully my throat won't swell shut or collapse in the mean time.... Not to mention my nose collapsing or going blind or deaf... Any advice? Kathleen
