Guest guest
Hi Cindy, (You may get a partial letter in addition to this one-- I was in the middle of writing you and lost it!!) Anyway, I can relate to everything you said about the red face. Yes, mine gets worse in the sun or if I am not feeling well. The people who know me well can look at my face and know what kind of a day I am having. What kind of throat and ear pain did you have?? My major symptom that I had for 3.5 years before I was diagnosed was hoarseness. In the early months my voice would come and go. Each time it happened it lasted longer and longer. I have now been without a voice since Nov. 2nd of last year. Even being diagnosed and treated with Prednisone and Methotrexate has not helped. As far as ear pain, I have only had 2 major episodes of this--One was in December of last year and the other in January of this year. That was before I knew anything about RP. What I am having now with my ears is what the group calls " Hot Flashes " . They are uncomfortable, but certainly tolerable. I am also having some pretty significant problems with my eyes. My husband is Military so I have to wait on the government to process the paper work to " ALLOW " me to go back to the eye Dr. They don't seem to be real concerned about my vision. I hope you are having a good day!!
