Kim,

This place has been a god send for me. Fortunatly a friend who knows

nothing about websites and very little about computers sent me this

site.I use this site everyday and i mean I DO read here and

occcasionaly I post. mostly I ask questions, and most are answered

the same day some, within hours of the post. There is a wealth of

information here and EVERYONE is willing to help you, some will even

give you their phone numbers so you can call them and talk to them

personally. RP is a very strange and rare disease. when first heard

that i had it i thaught i had literatly months to live, I did not eat

for 3 days and did alot of soul searching. I am glad I posted and

checked out all my options. this is still scary because so little is

known about it, but they are treating the disease sucessfully in my

case. I take methotrexate (metho) and I use the prednisone only when

the metho does not end a flare and the pain is too much. I still work

everyday and find the more I don't think about the disease the better

I feel. Reassure your mother everyday that this disease is treatable

and we are living with it,some better than others but we are all

survivors. God Bless you both and keep your chin up,none of us are

going anywhere.....................CHUCK HEATH
