Guest guest
If This doc is on Dr. P's list, they should know to get her in right away. You'll need to call back and ask to talk to the Dr's nurse. She should know Maddie needs to be seen ASAP. They should fit you in. If they still say no, then ask to talk to the doc himself. HE will know. That's just not right to make you wait, not at all. Sorry so short, but I had to put that out there so you can get on the phone tomorrow. don't take no for an answer, if they still won't do it you should consider that a red flag. But I think they'll do it once you get to the right person., The scheduling people don't know this stuff, and often tell parents the appointment can't be had for a long time but when you get to someone who knows how important it is you're in the next day or so. Guest guest
Michele, You can probably call Dr. Kasser's office and try to talk to Dr. Kasser himself. I guarantee you can get an appointment next week. Whoever you spoke with probably doesn't know the urgency of your situation. Keep calling until you get in next week. Good luck. mdfrye1 wrote: After a week of trying to get Maddie's heel into her shoe for the dbb, we went back to the doctor. Guest guest
I got through to the nurses who work with Dr. Kasser today. Maddie has an appointment with one of his associates on Nov. 1st. This group works really closely together, so I feel much better. Now that we're going to Children's, I feel a lot better. Thanks for all the advice so far. Not too bad for thanksgiving on Thurs and Friday....plus I gave in and had one starbucks yesterday while out christmas shopping. BUT Im resolved to no more again. Its moderation, if I can handle one yesterday and then no more again, I feel Ive succeeded in taming my demon. > > > I had set a personal goal for myself to try and lose 40 lbs by 12/3 since I had surgery on 10/3 I didnt think it was going to happen the last couple of weeks because the weight is coming off slower and slower. Well today I got on the scale and I have only 3.5 lbs to go. So if I don't make it by next week I am going to be darn close. I am so excited. I started out at 311 went to surgery at 277 and today weighed 240.5 I only have 41 lbs. to get to the Onederlands can't wait to meet you guys there. > > Kristie >

Guest guest
One pound for Thanksgiving is not bad at all. I think it is great if you can do moderation to me that is the goal. It's not about keeping things out of our life for good it is mastering the moderation. Congratulations . Guest guest
Kristie, Hi....Congratulations!!! You are doing great! The weight is coming off slower for me too. I have lost 35lbs since 9/28/05. It is getting so much easier now. The only problem is that I haven't found anything that I can not eat. I haven't tried sweets though...I am afraid to dump. Sometimes I would rather drink than eat...but I have to get that protein in. Congrats again....and keep up the good work. Guest guest
Patty that is great 35 lbs. I know I have been able to eat everything so far too. This morning my family and I went to breakfast I got a kids meal at Chubby's. I got one egg, potatoes, and one slice of bacon, and one piece of toast. I almost ate all the egg and I ate the slice of bacon. I used the toast to move my eggs and did take one bite of it. I also ate a piece of potato. I had gotten the potatoes country style. I was stuffed. I used to go in and order the 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, hashbrowns, and then I would get my toast as a abiscuit with gravy, and I would order a pancake. I would eat it all and drink about 2 glasses of soda. I felt so good eating and not filling sick afterwards. We all giggled because our breakfast tab used to be over $40 and today it didnt even hit $30. Hubby and I then took our son to the skate park with the dog, and then I walked the dog home. I'm also getting ready to go on a bike ride with my husband to go rent movies for tonight. I asked h! im if he wanted to go to the highschool track and run, he looked at me like I was insane. It feels so good to have energy, and feel so motivated. I love this surgery.!!!! Guest guest
Patty Congratulations. Your doing great. Keep up the good work. DonnaPatty wrote: Kristie, Hi....Congratulations!!!
