Guest guest
I noticed this morning that I had mucus in my stool, what could this be? Are you eating dairy? Sometimes when people have dairy issues, they get mucous, whether in their stool or in their sinuses. When my brother had life threatening asthma when he was little, a doctor finally told us to take him off of dairy. He got soo much better. I think it was contributing to his excess mucous. Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 50 mg 1x per day

I read recently exactly what causes it but can't remember (and can't find the info at the moment); as I recall it relates to the intestines' handling of/reaction to inflammation.n-- Now available. Guest guest
Randi,My husband has UC and he had the mucus as well. It part of the normal layering next to the intestinal wall--a kind of protector. When there is irritation the body produces more to protect the wall. It can produce so much that it inhibits absorption too. My husband always saw it as a sign of deterioration in his condition.I would also get your ferritin checked (storage iron).AmeliaHusband UC 9 years, SCD 20 monthsLDN 3 mgTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sat, February 20, 2010 4:23:57 PMSubject: Information please I am questioning if Crohn's is soley to blamed for the state of my health.
