Before surgery, Randy was on insulin and 27 pills a day. He took

cholesterol, blood pressure diabetic and God knows what. He now

takes 1 glucophage and 2 actos a day for diabetes, along with his

vitamins. No insulin. Blood pressure....great! Cholesterol....great!

Vitamin levels....great! No hair loss.He has never dumped, never

gotten sick from eating or smelling food, he has lost 80 pounds

since orientation, 65 since surgery on August 2. He eats anything,

but if it's not a good thing....like BBQ ribs (and only twice in

four months!), only a bite and then the rest of the meal is good

nutririon. He never feels hungrey or deprived, he doesn't crave

food. He eats cuz it's meal time. UCLA makes you lose weight, but

often not all 10%. Insulin makes it very hard to lose weight. He is

now a size 38 pants, well he will be once we buy them, now he's in a

baggy size 40. A XL shirt that isn't skin tight. Quite a difference

from the 46 pants and 3XL shirts that he used to wear tight. We know

your struggle, and pray for your good health! Remember to take good

care of yourself post op! Don't do anything even one day earlier

than you should! Not all people are lucky enough to get a second

chance at good health, you are so lucky to get to change your life

for the positive and with such positive friends like we have in this

group! I have my surgery on Wednesday, November 30, I'm feeling

nervous and excited all at once! I'll be walking the daylights out

here in Palmdale on your surgery day! But just know that you will be

in our hearts all day! Hugs!!!!!
